This course is Ideal for wellbeing, confidence building and looking at life in a lighter way. Do not worry that you are not creative. Many comedy techniques require NO creativity at all. Also do not worry if you are not the loud expressive one in the group. Comedy is about your own personal view of the world not necessarily performance based expression.

Fun, lively 5-week sit-down comedy course at the charming Chez Nous Café in Belsize Park.

Led by Bentley Browning: TV actor, comedian and professional David Cameron lookalike, seen on ITV’s The Hack. Other credits include The Last Leg, The Alan Titchmarsh Show and Take Me Out.
This course is designed to help you discover your authentic comic voice - even if you’ve never written a joke or performed before.
A relaxed venue, great coffee and cakes and plenty of laughs - the perfect setting to gently ease into comedy.

This is a writing-only course: there’s no performing during the sessions, so you can focus on learning without pressure.
All stage time is saved for the (optional) grand finale showcase at the legendary Washington Pub.

Over five weeks you’ll:
• Learn the basics of stand-up in a fun, supportive environment
• Try simple, guided comedy writing exercises (no experience needed)
• Discover your own style and what makes you funny
• Get friendly, gentle, constructive feedback
• Build confidence step by step, at your own pace
• Work towards a relaxed, friendly showcase at the Washington Pub
This isn’t just another class — it’s a unique experience with an accomplished comedy coach and quite possibly the most fun you’ll have on a Monday night.
You’ll finish with your own material, a clearer sense of your comedic voice, and — if you choose to perform — the thrill of trying it out in front of a live audience.
