Pegs Pulgas Ridge intermediate Hike 4.3 miles RWC (dogs OK) Lunch at Sanchos

This is a great dog friendly hike. Aprox 1.5 to 1.75 hrs. We will have lunch after at Sanchos Taqueria. In RWC about 3 miles away. Here is a link to Sanchos http://sanchostaqueria.com.;

The Pulgas Ridge location is great for Peninsula hikes...dusty a bit this time of year and minimal poison oak. We will take a longer hike that wraps around the ridge of the reserve "The Dusty Footed Wood Rat Trail" close to 280. There is elevation change up to 800 -1000 feet. A partially shady trail which is moderate to challenging in some places as you hike down and back up. We will do several short rests and wait for everyone.

Pulgas Ridge Open Space Reserve is a 366 acre site across from Edgewood Park. You will completely enjoy the breath taking views of the peninsula and bay.

Please make sure your in condition and can hike 5 miles with some steep elevation changes.

Bring water...for yourself and your dog (if you bring one). Make sure you have sunscreen or a visor/hat on.
