Hike - 2nd & 4th Saturdays
Details
Update: This hike will be at Vedauwoo (pronounced VEE-DA-VOO) - in Wyoming.
$5 day use fee
The name is derived from the Arapaho word “bito'o'wu” meaning “earth-born” and has been a popular rendezvous since the native tribes first discovered it.
Vedauwoo is known for it's interesting rock formations. Many areas are fun to explore and climb!
Turtle Rock Loop Trail - 3 miles
Here is the Alltrails hike details: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/wyoming/turtle-rock-loop-trail
Recent reviews mention there are a few creek crossings - so be prepared to take off shoes / get wet!
Depending where you're coming from, you can go I-25 north to i-80 and head West at Cheyenne. Or if you're starting more on the west side of Foco or Loveland, it may be best to just go north on 287 towards Laramie.
Meet at West Turtle Rock Trailhead parking lot. There's not many spaces. We'll start the hike at 8:30am.
Make carpool arrangements in the comments.
This is a quick hike but there are areas to explore and climb the rocks too.
Should we do a picnic? Go to Cheyenne for a bite after? Share thoughts in the comments!

Come join us as we get out and enjoy the fresh air and good conversation on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month. We will be exploring different open spaces throughout the Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor and Timnath areas.
If you have a particular hike you enjoy or want the group to try, please suggest it either as a comment here on the event page or send me a direct message with the details. I will update the location of each hike the week before once we decide on one for that week.
Hope to see you all on one of these soon!
