Thunder Pass Hike

Angie is hosting this hike for the more serious adventurers in the group! Thunder Pass via the American Lakes Trail in the State Forest State Park. (Note: the MeetUp site could not find a location for the trailhead, but my phone's GPS got it right away.)
**Event time includes drive to and from trailhead.
**We will start from American Lakes Trailhead Parking at 8 am.

This hike is considered 'Hard' on the difficulty scale. Approx 8.8 miles with almost 1,800 ft of elevation. It is located in State Forest State Park, which is an approximately 2.5 hour drive west.
This will be a very early morning considering the drive through the Poudre Canyon, and we want to avoid afternoon thunderstorms. Carpooling details will be posted soon.

Angie’s car - meet at Jax in Loveland (corner of Eisenhower and Wilson) at 6 am.
The drive from Loveland through Masonville is slightly shorter (1 h 55m).
