Tour de Fat is happening... The biggest & best holiday in Fort Collins. If you are new to town, have never participated or have no idea what this is, you should definitely come check it out!!!

It's a 5th Saturday of the month, so it won't interfere with hikes or Pickleball!

WHAT IT IS:
This event is put on by New Belgium Brewery. It is a bike parade x Halloween costumes on steroids, multiplied with tons of New Belgium beer, and fun! Drinking optional, costumes not! ;)

WHAT TO DO:
-Come to spectate, or to participate in the bike parade (with a costume, and patience- it's a slow ride!) Costumes and creativity are what make this event so awesome and fun- to be part of, and to watch!
-Ride your bike (or skateboard, rollerblades, onewheel, unicycle?).
-The party starts as early as you want it to

People often get incredibly creative, with bikes turning into intricate pirate ships and people behind it as pirates... It's a wild experience!

Watch this video to get a feel for it: https://youtu.be/4wla-458RuI?si=B8hUdErRJiGf1cDC

I am currently gathering ideas for a group costume theme- this will be a fun way to connect and find others who are part of the group!
We would LOVVVE for you to be part of the group theme we decide on, but it's still optional.
👉Got a theme idea? Shoot Ashley a message! We want it to be unique (so we stand out as being a group), and easy to put together

2 ways to participate:
1. Costume and ride in the bike parade
2. Costume and spectate.
3. Well 3 ways- no costume but you'll get looked at funny (🫵 Ryan 😜)

To be announced-
- We'll post up a spectator spot on Mountain Ave
- Group costume theme
- Probable meetup event a few weeks ahead of time to thrift shop for our costumes!

WHERE TO GO:
The parade begins at City Park and goes up and down Mountain Ave 930am-1130am.

AFTER THE PARADE (optional):
After the parade shenanigans, they have their free event at New Belgium's property: 500 Linden St

This begins at 11am and goes through the afternoon. It's free to attend this portion, but beer and food trucks will cost money. They have many bands and other fun entertainment as well. see their website for more about that. No dogs are allowed due to so many people, and the heat.

I have a few co-hosts helping me (Ashley) coordinate, so message any of us with questions!
