NEW in Newbury Park: Evening Hike

Details
I'm doing this one especially to show a some friends new trails. So they're down as my guests. Everyone else must be signed up. No guests or "plus ones" please. For liability reasons we must have everyone join the group, and agree to the standard Meetup "Terms of Service", especially section 6.2, here (https://www.meetup.com/terms/).
Hike will always show "full" because participants are added from waitlist.
Add yourself to waitlist if you've never been late, a "no show," or canceled within 48 hours of start time.
We'll do a new loop hike--one you've probably never done. It will include some exploring in the Dos Vientos area. We'll be on streets for a short distance.
Meeting Place: Will be emailed to participants on 5/8.
Time: Arrive EARLIER. Give yourself time to use the facilities (restrooms at trailhead), get packs on, and be ready to leave promptly at 5:30PM. If you get there at 5:31PM, we'll be gone.
Estimated Stats: About 5-8 miles, 700' - 1,500'.
Terrain: Single track, fireroad, brushy trails, some exploring, a few short/steep/slippery sections.
What's on the trail? Ticks are everywhere at this time of year, foxtails, snakes.
Level: Moderate, if you're used to the stats.
Bring: Snack, water, first aid kit, trekking poles if you have them. We should return before twilight ends, but you should always carry a headlamp. Optional: camera.
Wear: Your best lug soles (http://www.wisegeek.com/what-are-lug-soles.htm)with good grip, layers, long pants and sleeves for brush and tick protection. Gaiters (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaiters)recommended.
Dogs: Well behaved dogs welcome if you don't mind taking them on brushy trail (ticks). Open Space Rules (http://www.cosf.org/website/html/os-rules.html): Dogs must be restrained by a leash not exceeding six feet in length, and must be under control at all times.
Sunset: 7:41. Twilight: 8:08PM
