Akihabara / SkyTree (Night Walking Tour)

Details
This particular event is going be a full day of exploring 4 different neighborhoods! We'll kick things off in Akihabara and call forth our inner otaku as we wander the busy streets of the largest anime hub in Japan. From there we'll visit the historical Ueno, then make our way to Senso-ji Temple and Shrine before finishing things around the Tokyo Sky Tree. We'll also be pointing out the Kanda Myojin Shrine (although it'll be closed) while making our way around Akihabara.
About Myojin Shrine - "Even now, 108 towns within Tokyo worship the main deity enshrined here. Therefore, many people visit Kanda Myojin Shrine to pray for new relationships, better business, company prosperity, warding away bad omens, and fast recovery from illnesses.
For a shrine with such grand powers, one may think it is a formal shrine with a tense atmosphere, but when you actually visit, you will notice how relaxing it is. It is a beautiful shrine where one can be at ease. It has vast grounds, a roof garden, and a peaceful walking route that is perfect for a stroll."
We'll meet outside the Gundam Cafe which is located just outside the Akihabara Station. Look for me in a bright green shirt with a red lightsaber.
After our adventures in Akihabara and avoiding the masses of maid cafe's battling for our attention, we'll make our way to towards Ueno Station to checkout Shinobazu Pond, the surrounding park, and learn the history hidden in Ueno.
Also in Ueno, we'll checkout some of the cheap shops lining the streets and maybe make some purchases before stopping for lunch.
After lunch, we'll make our way towards Asakusa and the famed Senso-ji gate, temple, and shrine. We'll learn about the ancient history buried here before continuing our journey to the easily noticeable Tokyo Sky Tree! We'll grab some tea and explore the mall surrounding the base of the Tree (and possibly go up).
After we've had our fill at the Sky Tree, we'll once again continue on for dinner at one of my favorite izakaya in Tokyo. We'll grab some good drinks, bar bites, and play some ping-pong before finishing the night on the nearby rooftop bar where we can catch sights of several glowing bridges, the river, and the sky tree lighting up the night sky.
This whole event will consist of almost 2 hours of pure walking over about 7km and will run most of the day. Please bring comfortable shoes, a few bucks for souvenirs, and a hungry appetite for some amazing food.
I hope to experience this amazing day with you all,
Arthur
