Curriculum
This level introduces the basics of the Spanish language and everyday communication.
- The Spanish alphabet and pronunciation
- Greetings and introductions
- Feelings and emotions
- Cardinal numbers
- Days of the week and months of the year
- Dates and telling time
- Colors
- Gender and number of nouns
- Definite and indefinite articles
- Pronouns
- The verb “to be” (ser)
- Telling time
Elementary – Level 2
Students begin forming complete sentences and communicating in the present tense.
- Present tense –AR verbs
- Asking questions and forming negative sentences
- Adjective placement and agreement
- Present tense –ER and –IR verbs
- Possessive adjectives
- Key verbs: to go, to give, to be (temporary)
- Uses of ser vs. estar
- Simple future tense
- Verbs to have and to come
- Common expressions with “to have”
- Comparisons (more than / less than)
