Check-in / Get Ready

This is the time people should arrive and make any last minute preparations. A trip to the on-site bathroom is common! Get our phones in the provided case, put on our gloves, stow our water-sensitive belongings in the Kayak Joe SD company vehicle.

♦8:20 PM - 8:30 PM
Paddle Instruction

We circle up, paddles-in-hand, while Joe leads an easy-to-follow paddle lesson, to make sure everyone is familiar with the equipment. Special attention will be given to inexperienced paddlers!

♦8:30 PM - 9:10 PM
Launch Kayaks / Explore / Sunset / Paddle to Fireworks Platform

Ready to get wet? This is when we get into our boats and start the adventure. So many cool things to see, and awesome photo opportunities! Don't forget the Sunset! We must arrive at the fireworks platform before 8:20 PM, when security closes the corridor.

♦9:10 PM - 9:50 PM
Relaxation & Play Time

This is the time to let loose! You will be invited to jump in the water for a swim, try your luck at hitting the water ski ramp, or take part in other fun group activities. Or maybe you just want to kick back and soak up the transformative atmosphere. Either way, we all know what's coming next!

Fireworks Display & Re-Group

This will be the most intense experience you have ever had with fireworks. If you haven't seen the show from one of Joe's kayaks, you really haven't SEEN fireworks. After the show is over, we will gather and wait for the All-Clear signal from the fireworks technicians.

Paddle Under the Stars & Back to Shore

This final paddle of the night always feels different. I'm not sure if it's because we're all still in awe from the fireworks, we're enchanted by the stars and city lights, or if we have gotten to know one another a little better.. but something about this final stretch holds a little bit of magic!

Arrive Back at Vacation Isle / Rinse Off / Goodbyes

This is about the time you will receive a post-trip email from joe@KayakJoeSD.com including a link to a shared photo album where guests are encouraged to upload any photos or videos they took during the tour! Once we are back on shore, Joe will grab any belongings you left in the company vehicle, and you are free to go. The on-site bathroom features an outdoor shower that is perfect for rinsing the sand from our feet!
