We are a Community.
Meet Up - Christchurch's Longest Running Social & Friendship Network
The Fun Times Social - Young at Heart 45+ group was originally created in March 2015 by Judith Millar (Long Standing Member) for the purpose of like-minded people to connect and to share common and various interests.
With this developed social age platform but centuries old algorithm, the idea of this was to have a safe and secure real-life zone for people to come together in a non-threatening environment in the public arena.
Our regular active group of members are mainly a configuration of people from the Boomer and Gen X decades, and soon to be the Millennials as time goes by.
We welcome good individuals and couples from strong walks of life, believe in "Inclusivity" where our pronouns are "We - Us - Them - Ours".
Our group's activities mainly consist of the following, but not limited to,
Friday Night Socials, Live Music & Dancing, Coffee Socials, Outdoor Activities & Walking, Dining Out, Day Road and/or Walking Trips plus General Adventures.
As a member, new or existing, we highly recommend that you provide a reasonable updated photo of yourself on your profile as this is a pre-requisite of being in the group. We do not accept profiles with photos of animals, cars, scenic or otherwise.
We are all here to have general fun, laughter and memorable times together, wherever our paths take us.
We do not tolerate the following Anti-Social Behavior from any Individual:
Excessive profanity, vulgarism and lewdness. Any type or form of bullying, stalkerish or threatening behavior towards others, be it any personal messaging to others on this platform or in the public arena at any event or outing.
Creating or bringing any unwanted personal dramas onto any individual or others and/or causing any disrepute to the Fun Times Social group in general.
Excessive pre-loading of alcohol or illegal substances prior to attending our events in public and/or other establishments as there are obvious laws against this.
The above mentioned will result in those or any responsible removed and possibly banned indefinitely from the group.
We take this and any complaints of the above very seriously.
Please also be mindful of the Harmful Digital Communications 2015 Act.
On A Brighter Note:
Although we do not have the power to control human algorithms, we understand that friendships and connections may grow into more than just meeting up with others.
Our advice to anyone is that "your discretion is your protection"
