Point Pelee Weekend Bird Watching
Details
http://photos4.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/d/7/c/event_111663452.jpegJoin me on a trip to Point Pelee to view some of the birds that migrate through the area each spring. We'll leave Friday, May 11, at 6 pm, or earlier if possible, for a late arrival at Leamington. We'll stay 2 nights at the Howard Johnson Inn and visit the park on Saturday and Sunday, returning on Sunday evening.
"Point Pelee National Park has long been recognized as a world-class birding site with more than 380 species recorded in the park's birding area. The Festival of Birds delivers public appreciation and understanding for migratory birds and their habitats, boosts local economies and encourages environmental education.
Whether you're a beginner birder, or one who's really into this popular past-time, the Festival of Birds is a great way to familiarize yourself with the park, meet others who share your interests, and, of course, see first-hand the cascade of colour gracing our beautiful blooming forests each spring."
