Ressurecting the Meetup. Experience report: How to find a Scala job, tips&tricks

A PUB FOR AN AFTER-PARTY HAS BEEN BOOKED 🍻

After some time in sleep, it's time to bring the Functional JVM Meetup back to life.

It will be a bit different this time. We will follow more of a do-it-yourself approach. We will be meeting in pubs/cafes/saloons, optionally with a projector if there will be planned talks. The speakers should also come from within the Prague community. But there are so many smart people working at innovative companies that we won't have shortage of interesting topics.

The first topic will be an experience report about my search for a great FP Scala job. I will share all the interesting things I've learned about the Scala job market. Like how many jobs are there, what the companies work on or how the interviews look like. I will also share good tips & tricks for how to work with recruiters or how to negotiate with companies. I can already tell you that the situation is very good for job seekers, but come to hear the details. I hope it will be interesting even if you're not actively looking for a new job.

Anyway, we should also have a lot of time just for free chat over beer with fellow engineers. I hope to see you there.
