Come along to a casual fungi foray suitable for all levels of experience from those with scientific interest to total beginners to photographers. We have accumulated more than 15 years worth of knowledge and experience and we look forward to sharing this with you.

We are a fungi conservation group with permits to pick for ID purposes. We will be looking to find, ID and record all types of fungi and wont be narrowing our focus to just edibles and pretty ones. We may pick one sample of common species to help teach you the identifiable features. We may pick mushrooms we need to examine more closely, once we know they are not endangered species. At the end of the foray, we hope (weather permitting) to show you a sample of fungi books, and spend some time showing you how to use them to identify mushrooms yourself. You don't have to stay for this.

Emma & Anthony run these forays for the love of conservation and not to make a profit. We want to keep costs as low as possible. Until recently, we did not use a ticket system, but we found increasing popularity meant people booked spaces but didn't show up to fully booked walks. To avoid this, and because the cost of permits, insurance and meetup fees have increased, you will now need to purchase your ticket for £5 in advance.
