The Jacaranda Kensington Johannesburg Walk - 2 Nov 2025

Upcoming Walk – Sunday, 2 November 2025 – 8am – Bedford Centre Car Park next to Fournos Restaurant. Join us and bring a friend!

London has Wisteria, Japan has cherry blossoms and South Africa has the purple plumage of the Jacaranda trees. Lasting around four weeks, Spring blooms cover tens of thousands of trees, transforming the city and laying a thick carpet of purple petals on the streets. Walking through a sea of petals through a tunnel of purple flowers is like a real life fairy-tale! The flowers last from early October until early November.

### Start and End

We meet in the parking area of Fournos Bedfordview (Bedford Mall), Shop U23 & U57 Bedford Gardens, Smith Rd, Bedfordview, Johannesburg, 2008. Join us for brunch afterwards.

### Pace and Duration

Moderate pace. We do not run but we do not walk slowly. A degree of fitness is important as this is a hilly area. We do the walk in about two and a half hours.

### A Good Workout – You will Burn 1000 Calories

This is a good workout. You will be burning 1,000 calories and you will be able to put them all back again at Fournos😁

### Vitality Points

If you are on Vitality you should be able to get your 300 Vitality points quite easily. I do!
