Looking to meet new,and friendly people in a relaxed and natural way?
Join us for a nice 10 km long afternoon hike at Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve, where you can unwind, enjoy nature, and connect with others at your own pace. We will have a small picnic on top of the hill, where we`ll have a nice view and usually see some animals.

Important Note: This is not a fast hike , no "running" – it`s a relaxed hike with a few a few uphill sections – we’ll take it easy, and enjoy the views. But a moderate level of fitness is recommended to enjoy the hike.
Even if you’ve been there before, it’s a completely different experience with a small, friendly group.

What to expect:
• a small, relaxed group where everyone can feel comfortable
• Easy pace – no rush
• enjoyable walk where conversations happen naturally, no pressure at all
• light picnic with a view

🌿 About the Reserve:
Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve is one of Johannesburg’s largest ( 680-700 hectare protected area ) and most beautiful natural spaces, renowned for its imposing hills, vast grasslands, unique fauna and flora, the Bloubos Spruit and its variety of stunning walking trails.

It is located 10km south of Johannesburg, and is often called the "Jewel of the South".
It’s home to wildlife like zebra, red hartebeest, black wildebeest, blesbok, springbok, mountain reedbuck, duiker, dassies, mongoose and 200 - 230 bird species, along with significant Iron Age and historical sites.

But little is known of how historically significant the whole area is.
It contains the highest concentration of identified Iron Age sites on the Witwatersrand, including 250,000-year-old artifacts and ruins of a Sotho-Tswana village. Also, site of a 1900 Boer War battle and a 1850s Voortrekker farmstead.
