When Furballs Strike 26 - Fursuit bowling at Kenmore Lanes!

When Furballs Strike 26, FurLife's own furry bowling extravaganza, has been booked for Saturday, Feb. 25!

IMPORTANT UPDATE: I am sad to announce that the Lynnwood, WA Old Country Buffet has permanently closed. Our new dinner venue is Super China Buffet in Shoreline (Aurora Village Shopping Center), located at 15323 Westminster Way N., Shoreline. Details below in the "Dinner Location" section of the meet info towards the bottom.

New to WFS 26: We will now be accepting pre-registration via Paypal for WFS to alleviate the long registration line for bowling! If you would like to pre-reg, please send your payment to: lion_king_300@hotmail.com using the "family/friends" option, and please note what name you would like to appear on the screen while bowling. Here are the amounts to Paypal based on how many raffle tickets you want:

$9.50 - Bowling, shoe rental, 1 raffle ticket, 1 FurLife decal

$12 special - Bowling, shoe rental, 5 raffle tickets, 1 FurLife decal

$20 "SuperSponsor" special - Bowling, shoe rental, 15 raffle tickets, 2 FurLife decals & bonus ticket to win extra prizes/free bowling at a future WFS

It is important that if you want to bowl with someone or a group on the same lane, that everyone does the same type of registration (pre-reg or regular) as I will have lane assignments for all the pre-registered bowlers before the meet. When you arrive, there will be a separate, shorter line for pre-reg where you will pick up your raffle tickets. You may buy extra tickets at that time as well. Pre-Reg closes at midnight on 2/24-2/25 (night before WFS).

The party room should be open by noon, we will start on-site registration around 12:45. Bowling will begin at approximately 2pm, after everyone has checked in and the names are put into the computer screens. If you are bowling, please plan to arrive as early as possible so we can get everyone checked in and assigned to a lane in a timely fashion. If you would like to bowl with other people on your lane, please all check in together as I cannot save lane spots that are unpaid.

The Fursuit Group Photo will be at 2:30pm. If you wish to be in the photo. you must be in your costume at that time, we cannot hold up the photo for latecomers!

We will be cutting off the bowling around 4:15pm, which should leave plenty of time for everyone to finish their two games. After that we will gather in the party room for the prize raffle,do a "last call" for raffle ticket sales and then give lots of awesome stuff away!

Many of our attendees also go to the group dinner, which is now at the Super China Buffet in Shoreline. We have reserved tables and the dinner begins at 5:45pm (more details below).

PRICING

The base bowling fee for WFS is $9.50, which includes two games, shoe rental (if needed), a prize raffle ticket and the fee to rent the party room.

I will be running a $12 special like usual which comes with 5 raffle tickets instead of just one. This will help ensure the prizes for the next meet will be just as spectacular! If you are feeling extra generous and/or lucky, we also have a $20 special which comes with 15 raffle tickets!

Extra raffle tickets can be purchased during registration for $1 each, or 5 for $4.

NEW: Those that do a $20 special will also be entered in a separate drawing to win some prizes and a free entry into a future WFS meet! Winners will be drawn at the start of the prize raffle.

For on-site registration, Cash only, please! There is an ATM by the front desk if you need to use one. If you bring exact change (or donate the rest to raffle tickets) you will win ONE MILLION brownie points and my undying gratitude.

PRIZE RAFFLE

As always there will be a TON of amazing prizes for attendees to take home in our prize raffle! Mostly animal or furry-related, as well as some collectibles and nice things for your home. Featured for WFS 26 will be another bowling ball & bag package ($100 value), plush animals galore, a couple incredible framed posters (vintage Disney's Robin Hood & Star Wars: Rogue One) and custom WFS merchandise to commemorate our world-record WFS 25 meet!

But if you want to help make it even better, donations are always welcome and those that donate prizes will receive 3 free raffle tickets per prize, up to 9 total. If you are donating a prize, please contact me in advance so I can determine whether to raffle it off as a main prize or "second chance". Only new/like new items please, and the value must be at least $10.

For those new to the prize raffle, each ticket comes in a pair, simply separate each ticket and drop ONE of the two matching numbered tickets into the bag labeled with the prize you want to win. It's that easy!

If you are not bowling, feel free to purchase tickets during registration or just prior to the raffle (we do last call at 4:30) at $1 each, or 5 for $4.

NORTHWEST CONS IN ATTENDANCE

Representatives from Furlandia, Anthro NW and Furvana will be in attendance with tables set up to greet guests and answer questions about their respective conventions. They will be located at the high end of the bowling center, past the arcade.

DJ BR00K TO RETURN!

We are thrilled to announce that DJ Br00k and Kit will be returning to spin at WFS 25! They have done a fantastic job at past WFS meets and are greatly looking forward to keeping the beats going and turning the arcade into a dance floor!

UPON ARRIVAL

We will be meeting in Kenmore Lanes' huge partry room which is just inside the automatic doors on the street side of the complex, near the lowest-numbered lanes. We will have the room stocked with plenty of tables, chairs, fans, and lots of water as well as a changing area for our fursuiters.

I (Kijani) will be there handling check-in. When you pay your bowling fee I will give you a lane assignment – if you want to be on a lane with somebody please check in together, as we cannot save lane spots that are unpaid. We will be doing 5 bowlers per lane. If you need bowling shoes go to the front desk and tell the attendant you're with the FurLife group and your rental will be accounted for.

FOOD

Kenmore Lanes has a full restaurant and bar for us to order from at our leisure. Please do not bring in any outside food or drink as this is against Kenmore's house policies.

I will provide a cooler of bottled water to help keep our fursuiters hydrated, if you would like to donate water and/or sports drinks, it is greatly appreciated!

AFTERWARDS

Just like previous WFS meets, I will be giving out fun awards for high game in “classic” and “fursuit” divisions. We will also be running our prize raffle again with lots of fantastic gifts to give away for bowling with us at WFS! Additional tickets will be sold just prior to the raffle.

We should be finishing up around 5:15pm. Kenmore has been a great host for us in the past and was very kind in giving us this great deal, so please help clean up after yourselves. Let's try leave the place looking cleaner than when we came in!
