Walkies In The Park - Photo Scavenger Hunt & Potluck (Tacoma)

Thurston | Pierce County Furs is proud to be hosting a "Walkies in the Park!" Photo Scavenger Hunt Event & Picnic Potluck in Wright Park!

Come learn about Wright Park's History, the Conservatory, and of course we mustn't forget about the trees! You can do this all with your fur friends traversing the park trying to collect as many as photos as you can in order to win the hunt!

Wright Park is a beautiful piece of land that was established in 1890 in Tacoma, WA and was created for the purpose of the public within the city being able to have easy access to nature without needing to trek too far into the wild. The park's nearly 600 planted trees make it an awe inspiring trek around the mile sized perimeter as well as everything within. The rolling hills and trails a plenty within the park create a slew of opportunities to explore with your friends.

Never have seen a Plume Sawara Cypress tree before? Well now you can during the "Walkies in the Park" event!

Event Details
- This will be in the style of a picnic potluck! You are however, not required to bring something to attend or participate in the scavenger hunt

- If you are bringing anything homemade, we request that you attach an ingredients list to display for your dish so that those with sensitive food allergies are aware of which dishes to be cautious of

- Please be courteous to the park's cleanliness and be sure to throw away any trash you accumulate during the event. It is even advisable that if you see any trash lying around, to pick it up and throw it into the nearest waste bin.

- More details about the scavenger hunt itself such as rules will be added to the meet up info closer to the event.

When: Saturday, August 23rd from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM
Scavenger Hunt begins at 6:00 PM and will go on until 7:00 PM

Where: Wright Park in Tacoma, WA

Other details to note:
*- Be mindful that it is warm during these hours so drink plenty of water and stay hydrated! Especially if you're suiting.

- Parking is limited at Wright Park so it is recommended that you find carpool opportunities or take public transit to the event.
