We did this meet last summer and it was a great time, so let's meetup again on Labor Day Weekend (Sunday, Sept. 6) and play a fun, simple outdoor game, disc golf! Juel Park in Redmond (18815 NE 116th St) is a very flat and easy walking course in a large open field, perfect for beginners. And best of all, it's free!

Fursuits are welcome (please note there is no changing space so you will have to change in the parking lot). If the weather is hot I encourage wearing a partial or just ears & tail, as there is not much shade on this course! Make sure to hydrate, and I'll bring some cold bottled water as well.

At 11am we will meet by the practice basket which near the end of the parking lot. This is a good chance to practice your short tosses or "putts" before we begin! At 11:15 we'll do a group photo and then divide into smaller groups of 3 or 4 so we don't clog up the course too much as we play, then head to the first tee box!

If you've never played disc golf before, it's similar to regular golf except played with special hard plastic discs that you try to throw into a metal basket lined with chains. You are allowed to take a running start on all your throws, and most of the holes at Juel Park are fairly short at 250-350 feet in length.

Please note regular frisbees will not work for disc golf as they are too large, do not fly far enough and will bounce off the chains. Official disc golf discs are required to play, can be purchased at most sporting goods stores and some department stores (Big 5, Play it Again, Dick's). Entry-level discs cost between $10-$15. I have a LIMITED number of extra discs to loan out for this meet, if you want to reserve one of mine to use for this meet, please message me on Telegram @kijani_lion or leave a comment below.

Juel Park is a 9-hole course, after going once around we'll do a "closest to the pin" contest for prizes at the practice basket, and then whoever wants to can join us for a group lunch at the nearby Subway (just down the road) at 11523 Avondale Rd. NE.

Hope to see you there!
