When Furballs Strike 59 - Fursuit Bowling at Kenmore Lanes

Our Fall Furbowl When Furballs Strike 59 is all set for Saturday, November 21 with the theme of Vintage Animation, as voted on in the WFS Telegram Channel poll! We will celebrate classic 2D hand-drawn characters from the early days of animation up through the Disney Renaissance of the 1990s, with many themed prizes in our raffle!

We will have our annual Charity Auction at this WFS to benefit Dog Gone Seattle, a local dog rescue that has helped foster, rehabilitate and rehome over 6,000 homeless & at-risk canines. They are the largest foster-based rescue in the Pacific NW and our Charity Auction will help them carry out their mission!

CHARITY AUCTION

Our charity auction will have both Silent and Live components. Most of the Auction items will be on display near the raffle tables, each with silent bid sheets. To bid, clearly write your name and bid amount on the sheet. After bowling, we will begin the Live Auction starting with the high silent bid. If no additional bids come in, the silent bid wins. Some items will be live auction only due to space limitations.

Auction winners must be present and pay for their items immediately after the auction via cash, card or Paypal/Venmo (preferred). 100% of the auction proceeds will go to Dog Gone Seattle!

ULTRASPONSOR/SUPERSPONSOR GIFT OPTIONS

We'll have two FANTASTIC new gifts for our Ultrasponsors to choose from at WFS 59:

Ultrasponsors will choose one of those two gifts when they pre-register - please include in the Notes section which you want when you send in your payment. Any left over will be available for at-event Ultrasponsors.

Our special Supersponsor gift option for WFS 59 will be a fun, thematic sticker decal by furry artist Freckles, featuring their depiction of Robin Hood holding up a sign saying "I Turned This Person Into A Furry"! These decals will be available to choose from alongside the pens, coasters and magnets, while supplies last for our Super and Ultrasponsors.

*Please note that our higher level tiers have gone up slightly - Supersponsor is now $22 and Ultrasponsor is $33. It is the first price increase of these levels in over 10 years, and will help make WFS sustainable for the future with inflation and the cost of everything going up. - What name you want for the bowling score screen (this will also be your check-in name)
- Your Telegram handle (for confirmation or questions about your pre-reg, otherwise I will confirm through the app's messaging system)
- If you are bowling in a group, please list ALL of your group members so there is no confusion after the pre-reg lanes fill up. All group members must pre-register.

You may pay for multiple people on the same pre-reg (this is encouraged), just be sure everyone's info is in the notes, and what level reg everyone is getting is clearly noted.

We anticipate selling out for WFS 59, so each lane will have a minimum of 5 bowlers, and many lanes will have 6.

If you pre-reg, there will two separate, much faster-moving lines where you quickly pick up your raffle tickets, gifts and lane assignment. Pre-Reg closes at 11:59pm on Tuesday, Nov. 17. Do not send payments in after the cutoff as you will still have to go to the at-event reg line.

FURSUIT CHANGING/GROUP PHOTO

We have a dedicated room for fursuit changing/storage (behind the party room partition). Please be courteous to other attendees and only use this room if you need to, and try to space out usage so it doesn't overcrowd.

The fursuit group photo begins staging at 2pm before bowling starts. When setting up for the photo please let shorter fursuiters be in the front, and spread out side-to-side as much as possible since the photo is taken as a panoramic. Those in front must either sit or kneel.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

11am - Party room opens
Noon - Pre-Reg Check In opens
12:15 - At-event Registration opens
1:40 - Registration closes
2:00-2:15 - Fursuit Group Photo (usually in the middle of our assigned lanes, listen for announcement)
2:15 - Bowling starts
4:15 - Bowling ends
4:30-5:15pm - Awards, Charity Auction
5:15-6pm - Prize Raffle
6:30pm - Pizza Party Group Dinner in the Party Room

PRIZE RAFFLE

There will be many amazing prizes for attendees to take home in our prize raffle which takes place in the Party Room after bowling.

Extra tickets may be purchased for $1 each (or $4 for 5) anytime during reg, and we will do last call after bowling ends. Raffle proceeds go towards costs of running the world's largest furbowl, prizes for the next WFS & our monthly dues for FurLife on Meetup.

We will be doing another Pizza Party catered by the Kenmore Lanes Restaurant in the party room after the Prize Raffle! A separate Event Page (linked here) will be posted for that event as soon as details are finalized.

FOOD

Kenmore Lanes has a full restaurant and bar for us to order from at our leisure. Please do not bring in any outside food or drink as this is against Kenmore's house policies. Things like bottled water/sport drinks kept in the party room for our fursuiters is fine and encouraged.
