Companies are making ambitious promises with bots, and digital assistants in particular:
"They will be personal and contextual"
"They will have a great ability to anticipate your needs and offer compelling services to assist you, just at the right time".
In order to deliver, they depend much on the trust they will be able to build between users and AI, as presented by bots.

In this session, we will share guidelines for building trust with bots and we'll take Microsoft’s digital assistant, Cortana, as a case study.

• 19:15 Bot Talk - Voice & Tone Design in Conversational Interfaces

Bots take us one step closer to telepathic communication. They allow us to communicate the same way we think - with words.
But when the interface consists mostly out of words, text becomes much more important. This requires a wide range of skills and methodologies that are new to a lot of UX designers, product managers and more.

In this talk, we will examine the unique challenges of conversational interfaces, get to know the process of creating a Voice & Tone guideline and see how it's done in the field. Coming out of this talk you will know how to create a great voice for your great product.
