Futura Talks: Unusual CV's - The Unbeaten Path

What has your career path looked like? Have you climbed one set of stairs or taken an alternative route?
The more unconventional, non-linear career path, has often been seen as representing an individual who is unable to commit to a role and unsure of what they want. We want to challenge this assumption, we believe that non-linear career paths provide individuals with room to follow their passions and gather new skills and knowledge that help them evolve along the way. Not everyone can go to university or follow a traditional education, this translates into a non-traditional CV which can be unfairly dismissed in recruitment processes – but taking the road less traveled can be just as, if not more valuable than, following the highway.

Fabiola Da Silva
Fabiola is Corporate Account Executive at GoCardless, a UK-based fintech that enables financial service businesses to streamline their payments operations.
Fabiola is a natural sales talent and made her career building strong relationships and professional networks. While her professional background is purely commercial, Fabiola studied chemical engineering at the University Simon Bolivar (Venezuela) and innovation and entrepreneurship at the University of Barcelona (Spain).
Susanne Krehl
Susanne, has an academic background in Communication. After working several years as a consultant, she joined the fintech Viafintech (former “Barzahlen), where she went from leading the Marketing and PR team to managing the international expansion of the company.
Susanne founded Fabit in June 2021, and has acted since then as Managing Director. Fabit is an app that helps people with their personal finance and promotes financial well-being.
