We are excited to have our first Future of Data meetup in Mumbai in collaboration with Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited. We look forward to being much more active in 2018 and conducting meetups on Big Data systems. Such meetups will cover the latest developments in Apache Hadoop 3 ecosystem, Streaming Analytics, and Data Science.

Big Data Journey at Reliance Jio(30 min)

Reliance Jio aims to enable digital revolution by creating not just a cutting-edge voice and broadband network, but also a powerful ecosystem on which a range of rich digital services will be enabled – a unique green-field opportunity. At Reliance Jio, Hadoop plays a critical role in Data Infrastructure. In this session, we will talk about our journey so far, use case and our future plans.

Speaker Intro:

Kiran Thomas is President, Technology Innovation & Platforms at Jio. Kiran Thomas leads the Innovation & Platform strategy at Jio. Kiran is an alumnus of Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he completed his MBA program specializing in Strategy & Finance. Kiran is a passionate technocrat and very excited about researching new developments in software engineering and solving problems with using first principle thinking. He is also a budding Lawn Tennis pro and never says no to an opportunity for a few games of tennis, if time permits.

Raghuram Velega is the Head and Chief Architect of Big Data Analytics at Jio. He is focused on building a state of art big data platform for analytics and machine learning using cutting edge open source and flexible closed source technologies for Jio. His focus is also to build a high powered team which has deep expertise on big data technologies and can deliver products with agility and quality.

Curb your insecurity with HDP (30 Min)

As we bring more data into platform, handling the data with care is of utmost importance. In this session, we discuss about various enterprise ready solutions available to secure the Hadoop cluster.

Speaker Intro:
Kunal Rajguru has extensive experience in implementing and supporting enterprise security solutions for Hadoop platform. Kunal works at Hortonworks as Premier Support engineer.
