About us

GA Self-Publishers is a group for writers and self-publishing authors interested in learning more about writing and publishing, and opportunities for authors. We started this group to help writers learn from experts in the publishing business, to network with each other, and to share information about their experiences.

GA Self-Publishers is sponsored by BookLogix, who helps authors and independent publishers to publish their books, with the full range of publishing services. BookLogix offers everything from ghostwriting and editorial services to illustration, design, book printing, eBooks and audiobooks, book printing, book marketing and social media services, author website design, and more. BookLogix also believes it's important to help authors learn about the business of publishing, and they offer a variety of free workshops and webinars on a whole range of topics related to publishing. BookLogix offers free quotes and free consultations, either in-person, on the phone, or by web-chat. They are located in Alpharetta, GA, but help authors all over the country to publish their work.

Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing publishing, but much of the conversation has created more confusion than clarity. Authors are hearing mixed messages while publishers, retailers, and courts are still defining the rules in real time.

This practical, balanced session explores where AI may have limited value, where it can create real risk for authors, and how careless use can affect credibility, reader trust, retailer acceptance, and book sales.

This is not a tools demo or a pro-versus-anti AI debate. It is a clear-eyed conversation for authors who want to stay informed, ask questions, and make smarter publishing decisions in a rapidly changing landscape.

Topics include:
• The current state of AI in publishing
• Key legal and industry developments to watch
• How retailers and distributors are responding
• Common risks authors often overlook
• How to spot signs of AI-generated writing and imagery
• Practical ways to protect your work, rights, and future opportunities

Event Schedule:
10:00 a.m. — Coffee & Networking
10:30 a.m. — Featured Talk + Live Q&A
12:00 p.m. — Optional Behind-the-Scenes Facility Tour

Free to attend. Seating is limited.
