It's Back. The annual Christmas Star Program at the Fernbank Planetarium. We used to see this every year and so posting again. Here is the description from the Fernbank Science Center Website:

"Journey back over 2000 years to Bethlehem as we seek to discover a scientific explanation for the star the wise men followed to find the baby Jesus. This modern retelling of the Christmas story is sure to charm and captivate audiences of all ages."

The show starts at 8pm so we will meet inside downstairs outside the doors to the Planetarium theater at 7:45. The show lasts about an hour and afterward if it is clear (and not too cold) the staff will have the observatory telescope at 9pm for viewing the moon, planets and other fun things in the sky.

Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for kids & seniors. I think tickets are now purchased in person.

This is the Fernbank across the street from Fernbank Elementary School.

If you get there early, the science center has some cool exhibits to check out for free.
