About us
Welcome to the Gainesville Vampire Larp Meetup Group! Whether you are a seasoned LARP player or new to the scene, this group is for anyone who shares a passion for immersive storytelling, character development, and the supernatural world of vampires.
This group is to advertise and invite you to the Camarilla Vampire Game, run physically in Gainesville FL. (The setting of our game is St. Augustine, but we physically play in Gainesville.) We are a part of the OWBN Larp organization.
Players of all skill and knowledge levels are welcome, we play 2 times a month, on 2nd and 4th Friday in a AC-ed, private venue, and there is only a small site fee of $5 per person.
Join us for thrilling adventures, intense role-playing, and memorable experiences as we dive into the dark and mysterious world of the undead. Let your imagination run wild and embrace the night with us in Gainesville's premier Vampire LARP community. See you at our next meetup/game session!

St. Augustine Camarilla — Special Halloween Event Game

THEME: The Long Night — A Fae Court Revel
Costuming: Fae • Renaissance Faire • Medieval • Generic Halloween • Your Character's Normal Clothing • Whatever Gets You in the Spirit!
Costumes are encouraged, but absolutely not required.## 🦇 ABOUT THE GAME
St. Augustine Camarilla is a live-action Vampire: The Masquerade game set in the World of Darkness. We normally play twice a month in Gainesville, FL, and players of all experience levels are welcome.
You are a vampire navigating a Camarilla Court in the state—and nation's—oldest and most haunted city: St. Augustine, Florida. Deal with the horrors of the night, political intrigue, ghosts, other vampires, and the many other things that go bump in the night.
There is no player limit, and visitors and new players are welcome!
Discord: https://discord.gg/FEGAdJj2P9## 🧛 NEW PLAYERS — YES, YOU CAN COME!
Never played with us before? We'd still LOVE to have you at the Halloween game!
However, please be aware that this is one of our larger special event games, and staff will be very busy with setup and event logistics that evening. Because of that, we strongly encourage first-time players to contact us ahead of time rather than waiting until the night of the event to build a character.
For the easiest first-game experience, we recommend either:
• Using one of our pre-generated characters, complete with a character sheet and a hook to get you involved in the night's game, OR
• Creating your own character with staff ahead of time, preferably before the week of the party.
You are also welcome to come out just to observe, meet everyone, and see what LARP is like!
Don't let the fact that it's an event game scare you away—we'd genuinely love to have you. A little advance planning will just help us give you a much better introduction to the game.## 📍 LOCATION & SCHEDULE
Meizon Church — Gainesville, FL
Parking is in the back of the church, and the entrance is also in the back. Please do not try to enter through the front of the church.
Check-In: Opens at 7:00 PM EST

Soft RP may begin earlier.
Downtimes: Due the prior Friday at midnight.## 💵 EVENT FEE
Halloween Event Game Venue Fee: $7

Extra donations for food and decorations are welcome!

This will be a potluck-style Halloween party, so feel free to bring a Halloween dish, snack, chips, dessert, drinks, etc.
Paper products are also welcome, but please check with staff first so we don't end up with eight people bringing cups and nobody bringing plates. 😂## 🚗 VISITORS & TRAVELERS
Visitors are welcome!
If you intend to travel to our game, PLEASE EMAIL STAFF AHEAD OF TIME so we can plan for attendance and character logistics.
Please send character sheets/items ahead of time whenever possible. At-the-door sheet checks are strongly discouraged, especially for this event game. See our house rules for additional information.
