Plays in the Park offers a great outdoor experience - they are a bargain subsidized by Middlesex County at a cost of $8 under age 60/$5 over 60.
The theater is conveniently located one block south of the Menlo Park Mall off of Route 1, in Edison, N.J.

Non-assigned seating- please try to come as early as you can so we can sit together we can eat while we talk and wait for the show.

*** The tickets work on a first come basis until sold out (no advance sales). Show time (8PM). Once inside you can leave your chair to hold your spot and then go have something to eat at a nearby restaurant, bring food, buy from the food hut onsite or have delivered) from a nearby restaurant).***if you leave you must get a hand stamp at the exit before leaving to be readmitted for free.
Info. To know:

1. Patrons bring their own chairs with a back no higher than 40 inches (ex: folding chairs, soccer chairs, etc.).
2. If weather cancels the show after you buy, save your ticket stub it can be used later within a year for another show. There are no rain dates.

NOTE: it can get cool at night so a sweatshirt or jacket is recommended.
Other helpful hints: bring something to drink (no alcohol), bug spray/ sunscreen, leaving use your phone light to help you get back to the car.
