Oktoberfest Celebration Food, Music, Shared Laughter!!

Why travel to Germany when we can join in the celebrations and the festive spirit of Oktoberfest at the Deutsche Club in Clark.

A laid back outing, where we sit either in a tree-lined grove or a covered Pavillon-as available, listen to a German Band, good conversation and eat German food. Dancing or singing optional!

These are very popular events and it gets crowded so come early so you find closer parking (there usually is a car line to get in). As we gather, we can chat, play a game, walk around and enjoy the outdoors. We can't guarantee seating with the group for latecomers. Stay as long as you wish - while our event ends at 3 PM, the club festivities end at 10 PM. Thank you to Janet for suggesting this event!

Highlights:

1. Traditional German Cuisine: bratwurst, sauerkraut, Pig Roast, Chicken, Pulled Pork, pretzels, Spätzle, potato pancakes, hot dogs, etc and delicious German desserts, usually cakes, torts, fruit pies, strudel.
2. Live Music: Enjoy the sounds of a traditional German band -we can dance or sing along as the mood strikes you.
3. Conversation: Talk, meet new people and reconnect with past acquaintances as we share stories and laughs amongst ourselves and enjoy the festive feel of the day.

Best to bring small bills to buy your food and drinks.
No outside food, drinks or pets are permitted.
There are both onsite and offsite (with shuttles) parking sites.

I’ll bring some card decks should anyone want to play a game, feel free to bring a game for the table if you'd like.
