MEANING IN THE ABSENCE OF MEANING — MindSlí Meaningful Conversations – FREE
Details
Psychology tells us that a sense of meaning is one of the strongest contributors to a thriving life — yet finding it is rarely straightforward.
Many of us experience long stretches where meaning feels distant, unclear, or entirely absent.
This evening, we’ll explore how meaning shows up (or doesn’t) in everyday life, and whether it’s something we discover, create, or return to over time.
### Warm-up question:
- What do you tend to return to when everything feels empty?
### Three questions we’ll unwrap on the night:
- Is it frightening or relieving to think that meaning might be something we create?
- How much of meaning comes from connection rather than from purpose?
- Is living in line with values enough or do we need a clear purpose for life to feel meaningful?
This is a non-moderated discussion. We provide the questions and the space — then it’s up to you to unwrap the theme.
There’s a philosopher in all of us — usually hiding behind the day’s to-do list.
We’ll be meeting at The Beacon Pub, Salthill. The event is free, and we’d appreciate you ordering a drink at the bar to support the venue, who generously reserve a room for our group.
