"From Book to Life" is a new MindSlí workshop series where we take one thought-provoking book and transform its ideas into practical exercises and meaningful conversations.

This month we'll explore A Simpler Life by The School of Life (Alain de Botton).

Modern life can feel noisy, busy and overwhelming. We're surrounded by endless choices, constant distractions, social expectations and the feeling that we should always be doing more, owning more or becoming more.

Drawing on 10 key ideas from the book, we'll explore what it really means to simplify our lives - not just by owning less, but by rethinking our relationship with work, possessions, technology, friendships, expectations and success.

Through a mixture of short reflections, interactive exercises and small-group conversations, we'll explore questions such as:

  • Who helps you feel most like yourself?
  • What kind of social moments leave you feeling genuinely nourished?
  • What would your ideal quiet day look like?

Bring your curiosity & Leave with a few ideas worth carrying into everyday life!

What to expect

  • Ten ideas from the book, brought to life through practical exercises
  • Thought-provoking conversations in small groups
  • A relaxed, welcoming atmosphere - no pressure to share more than you're comfortable with
  • New perspectives to take home and experiment with
