404: SELF-WORTH NOT FOUND — MindSlí Meaningful Conversations
Details
Does our worth have to be earned?
Most of us would say a person's value isn't measured by their job title, salary, or achievements. Yet when it comes to ourselves, that's often exactly how we measure it.
So where does our sense of self-worth actually come from?
Join us for an evening of meaningful conversation as we explore just that.
### 3 questions for the night:
- Imagine you met someone for the first time. What qualities would make you think highly of them? Do you judge your self-worth by those same qualities?
- Many of us believe, "Once I'm successful, I'll finally feel good enough." But what if it works the other way around? Can feeling worthy first actually help us succeed?
- Psychology suggests that people thrive when 3 needs are met: feeling capable, having the freedom to make your own choices, and feeling connected to others. If you had to give up one of these, which would be hardest to live without, and why?
As always, there's no expectation to share personal stories unless you want to. Many people choose to speak in principles, observations, or ideas instead. Whether you come to listen, reflect, or contribute, you'll be very welcome.
This is an open discussion. We provide the questions and the space, then it's up to you to unwrap the theme.
We'll be meeting at The Oslo Pub, Salthill. The event is free, and we'd appreciate you ordering a drink at the bar to support the venue, who kindly reserve a room for our group.
