What weāre about

What events can I get involved in?
Galway City Social meet for coffee, walks, gigs, nights out, cinema, bowling, dinner and many other social activities!
How do I organise a meetup with Galway City Social?
Just email us and let us know what kind of events you would like to host and we will be happy to make you an organiser. The group now has over 50 organisers but we encourage all members to organise meetup events and activities that interest them. A book club, cinema nights, dining out or simply meet for a coffee.
Are there fees to pay?
Galway City Social was founded by Caroline in 2012 and since 2014 we have been lucky to have Kevin as our amazing group sponsor. This has enabled the group to flourish and never charge fees to organisers or members.
We are open to collaborations with local groups, businesses and organisations.
Hundreds of our members have made many good friends from this group and I am sure you will too.

Note 1: Please be aware that this is not an official organisation, it is a free-to-join group of like-minded people. The organisers are in no case guides or professionals of any activity or events undertaken. It is responsibility of every member to evaluate if they are fit enough and are capable to join an event. Galway City Social is not liable for any injuries or accidents. It is up to all members to take out adequate insurance for meetups Where needed. We are not qualified to look after your safety.
Note 2: No-shows for dinners where the organiser has gone to the trouble of reserving a limited number of places in a restaurant will result in you not being allowed to attend any future dinner meetups. So please always remember to cancel your RSVP by the closing date for RSVPs (usually two days before the event) to be fair to the organiser and enable someone else to take your spot.
