Galway Beach Cleanups 2026! (Monthly)

Join Galway Beach Cleaners to clean the coasts and beaches! This time will be similar to the last cleanup with similar meeting points. We will clean a slightly different beach with a different starting but but still near furbo hill. Drivers from salthill will be parking at the beach (**only room for 5 cars**) and any locals are encouraged to walk there on their own or meet at Pádraicíns and walk together.
We will be meeting at the salthill carpark across from salthill omniplex - 9:45 AM carpool meeting point: https://maps.app.goo.gl/mmWPXQfLvkq6UJB37?g_st=ic
Then we’ll carpool to our cleanup dropoff point just past Furbo Hill / Pádraicíns. This is the tricky part (carpool is important as there is limited parking). This is where we left off last time, the exact point is accessible from the road here:

Only carpool cars should park at the beach, more communication on the day. We will then go down the beaches to the right side and clean for about 1.5 hours. Starting on this beach and going west:

Then at 12:00 we will go for lunch and coffee/tea at Pádraicíns Gastropub! Anyone wishing to go straight back to the city let me know and we can possibly arrange one car to go back early. Otherwise we’ll all socialize together after until 1:30 or so. See you there and looking forward to meeting you!
