🎮🎶 Game Audio Playthrough is coming to Aarhus on June 12th 🎶🎮

We’re excited to announce that the Game Audio Playthrough event series is now coming to Aarhus. So mark your calendars, and get ready for an evening of mingling with other game audio enthusiasts, along with a deep insight into game audio development.
The first game we’ll present is the upcoming horror/comedy game Escapen’t, an escape room-inspired video game made by Aarhus-based Kaffeklubben Games. The game will be presented by the two poor souls, Jonas Lauridsen and Sune Graves Hvidt, who seem to have been sent by the so-called “Game Master”. At least that’s what we can read in this strange letter we received from him. Read it yourself, and you might get a hint of what kind of evening we’re gonna have:

"Escapen’t is my magnum opus.
The perfect escape room.
It also has great acoustic treatment and definitely no voices in the walls.
In my place, I have sent two of my most disposable lackeys from ‘Kaffeklubben Games’ to share their thoughts about:

• how audio design helps game designers
• the paradoxical friendship between horror and comedy
• using atmosphere as your vision, rather than text on paper
• how to fix voice lines

During their showcase, they will demonstrate the game and use the audience as part of the game's final sound design. Whatever that means.

• What is Game Audio Playthrough? Game Audio Playthrough is an event series where audio departments behind a specific video game present the game and their contributions to it, often while playing the game simultaneously. It gives a unique insight into how games are developed and what game audio is.
• Who can attend? The event is free and open to all. You don’t need to know anything about game audio to participate.
• Refreshments To celebrate our first Game Audio Playthrough in Aarhus (and to please The Game Master) we’re offering pizza, drinks, and snacks to all participants.
