Many Mini Adventures at Daytona & Brewtown

Hello adventurous people in Wellington! This month we’re heading to Brewtown & Daytona Adventure Park.

• Activity: It will be choose your own indoor adventure! At Daytona Adventure Park they have ice skating, go karts, gellyball, paintball, ten pin bowling, trampolining, and more. At Brewtown they have axe throwing, mini putt golf, breweries, a distillery, and places to eat.
• We won’t book anything in advance since we’ll just see who turns up and what they feel like. This might limit options, but also means you can see how you feel and we can split into smaller groups. There will always be space for ice skating.
• We’ll most likely start with something more active and then end up chilling eating food and drinking at one of the Brewtown places.
• Start Time: Sunday 20 July at 1pm. We’ll wait around for 10 minutes before choosing our activity and heading in. If you arrive late, message either here or on the GDOW Discord to find where we are.
• Start Location: At the entrance area to Daytona Adventure Park (Unit 13a/25 Blenheim Street, Maidstone, Upper Hutt 5018). I haven’t been before, so I’m hoping there’s a waiting area. There is a train that gets you walking distance from the area. Or you can organise carpooling via the GDOW Discord if you want.
• Minimum Cost: If you just want to watch others, free or the price of food/drinks. Each activity can cost around $20-40 per person. No need to buy ahead of time.
• Physical considerations: Some activities require people to be very physically mobile with balance. However, there should always be an option to sit down and relax somewhere while others do something more energetic.
• Duration: Depending on group choices, we’ll do 1-3 activities that might last up to 2 hours, but could be as short at 30 minutes. Then we’ll go for a bite to eat and a drink which will be about 30-45 minutes.
• What to bring: Clothes you can easily move in. Any personal gear you have for the activities (e.g. ice skates).
• Who's welcome: any person at least partly associated with the games industry and as many of their family/friends that would also like to join. Children are very welcome. Dogs would probably hinder you being able to do all activities.
• Weather Contingency plan: The activities are indoors. So no contingency needed.
• Other Notes: You don’t need to let me know if you’re coming, but if you RSVP here, then I’ll know to lookout for you and keep you updated if there are last minute changes to the plan.
