GDOW Adventure: Mini Golf, Arcade Games & Food
Details
Hello adventure lovers in Wellington. This month we’re going indoors to play mini golf and arcade games together.
- Activity: Our main activity goal will be to go mini golfing at Holey Moley. But we won’t have a booking, so we’ll need to be a bit flexible. While we wait for a mini-golf slot we can play Arcade games at Archie Brothers (or possibly bowling). At some point (either before or after) we’ll go to the Willis Lane Food court to grab food and chat.
- Start Time: Saturday 18th October at 1:15pm. We’ll wait around for 15 minutes before going inside to make a booking based on the number of people who’ve arrived. If you’re late, message on the adventure channel on Discord so that me or someone else can let you know where we’re at.
- Start Location: Outside Holey Moley, 1 Willis Street, Wellington Central 6011 NZ
- Note: Go down the escalators at the corner of Willis and Willeston streets to get to the “Willis Lane” underground area. Do a U-turn and look for us on the big steps that are almost under the escalators (will be on your right after your U-turn).
- Minimum Cost: $22 for mini golf; for Arcade Games we can share the cost of one of their payment cards (it looks like minimum load amount is $35); money for food and drinks.
- Physical considerations: There won’t be much walking around and I’m assuming there will be spots to rest throughout. I wasn’t able to find information about wheelchair accessibility, but I think you’d be able to join in the basics, but possibly not everything.
- Duration: We’ll hang around the area for about 2 hours. Feel free to leave early or stay later if you want.
- What to bring: Yourself, nothing else needed really. Come with a not full, but not empty stomach since we might eat after mini golf rather than beforehand.
- Who's welcome: any person at least partly associated with the games industry and as many of their family/friends that would also like to join. Children welcome, dogs not allowed.
- Contingency plan: If everything is booked out and/or too busy, we’ll hang out in the Willis Lane food court and then wander down to the waterfront for a walk.
- Other Notes: You don’t need to RSVP if you don’t want to. Just turn up and enjoy.
