James Gwertzman, Co-Founder & CEO of PlayFab, @gwertz
James is a veteran of fifteen years in the game industry. He was the founder of two game studios and set up PopCap’s Asia operations. His current startup, PlayFab, provides a cloud-based backend-as-a-service for games so that game developers can focus on making their games fun. Before co-founding PlayFab he was the Chief Evangelist at the non-profit Code.org organizing the Hour of Code initiative, which introduced more than 20 million students to computer science last December. James also has a great passion for server-side technologies and has multiple papers, patents, and experience building games-as-services at PopCap. Pat Wilson, Co-Founder and CEO of Teak, @pat_wilson
Pat Wilson is the Co-Founder & CEO of Teak, the next generation marketing automation suite built by game developers, for game developers. Davey has committed his career to assisting start-up and post start-up technology companies refine strategy, grow valuation and increase sales. As the Director of Licensing at GarageGames, Davey helped lead GG to an $80M exit to IAC. Davey was Unity Technologies original US Director of Business Development, leading double digit sales growth and pioneering Unity’s now dominant position in commercial VR/AR. As an avid gamer, Davey has worked to push game technology into new vertical markets like healthcare, training, defense, gambling and architecture.
