We wish to acknowledge the history of this community which was founded by Dee Dussault around 2009 to support the of Cannabis-Enhanced Yoga, popularly know as Ganja Yoga, which is also the name of Dee's book. She's been a community leader and steward to this movement for many years.
Around 2020, one of her students, Javi K, picked up the baton and continued offering Ganja Yoga around the Bay. Eventually she expanded her work to include Conscious Cannabis Ceremonies offered together with Seba through Green Magic Yoga, in the lineage of Medicinal Mindfulness. They've been integrating practices and stewarding this community through 2024.
As decriminalization and legalization of Cannabis has progressed across the US and globe, so have the communities and practices around this sacred plant medicine. In 2025 the Cannabis Psychedelic Society has founded as a Big Tent Cannabis and Psychedelics Community. Our intention is to make space for learning and sharing around practices such as Ganja Yoga, Cannabis Circles, Dance, movement, therapies, ritual and ceremony around safe and sacred Cannabis use.
Currently we are in the group formation period and inviting seasoned practitioners, community leaders and passionate psychonauts to help us put together a solid Board of Directors. Welcome to the Santa Cruz Psychedelic Society Magic Hikes. A guided journey through nature, allowing the healing energies of the great outdoors and microdosing magic to enhance your connection with the natural world. This group was inspired by the work of our friends from Mycorising, offering Hikerdose gatherings in the East Bay. Our sessions are facilitated by our leadership team and Community Partners Seba and Javi from Green Magic Yoga. This is a BYO Event, +21 years old, no buying or selling.

#### Agenda
- Meet at 3:00pm, depart at 310pm (plan to arrive 10-5 minutes earlier)
- Route: Provided after registration. Difficulty: medium
- Return around 6:00pm
- BYOM Bring your Own Mushrooms. Microdosing is optional and less than 0.3gr.
- No buying/selling, thank you.
- We will start in a circle together at the meeting point. We will offer a brief meditation / intention sharing and opportunity to microdose in community.
- There will be a ~15min segment of the trail where we will share a silent walk. After this we’ll gather in a circle and do a mid-point check-in.
- You are invited to bring poetry, song, spiritual questions, etc.. throughout our journey together.
- We close with a check-out circle.

The Santa Cruz Psychedelic Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering a supportive community for individuals and groups exploring expanded states of consciousness. Our mission is to promote personal growth, mental health, and well-being through practices such as meditation, movement, spiritual exploration, and the safe and intentional use of plant medicines and entheogenic compounds.
Based in Santa Cruz, California, we provide opportunities for local engagement through activities such as Peer Integration sessions, Magic Hikes, and our educational community event, The Psychedelic Connection. Our work is rooted in creating a safe, inclusive, and informed space for learning, connection, and healing.
