What we’re about
Started with a group of teachers and staff from the Garvey School District, this is a group for "fitness cyclists." Not really for complete beginners or serious roadies. Read the description to know what to expect.
We will ride about twice a month from different places in the San Gabriel Valley and adjacent cities.
The rides will usually be 15-25 miles at a 12-15 MPH pace.
These rides will be along the various area bike paths with few hills.
Some group members may add some mileage either before or after the ride. Contact the group leader for more info regarding longer rides.
This is a no drop group. We will be stopping and regrouping as needed during our rides.
If you RSVP but cannot make the ride, please change your RSVP so we know who to expect.
- Please make sure your bike is in good working condition.
- You must wear a helmet.
- Please carry a cell phone.
- Please be able to ride at least 12 MPH consistently for at least 5 miles at a time.
- No earbuds or music, your attention is needed for your safety.
- Rain will cancel the ride.
- Please bring: Identification, your own medical insurance information, cell phone, water bottle(s), spare tube(s), food as needed, cash, and a fun attitude.
If you would like to purchase some Official Garvey Cycling apparel, check out the online store. https://www.owayo.com/store/garveycycling

There is no official group and at this time there are no dues, there is no leader of the group, and no one is 'in charge'. In no event, shall anyone who meets up to ride with anyone accept any liability for any injury, loss, or damage incurred by use of, or reliance, on information on this website, or from participating in group rides with any individual as part of Garvey Cycling Meetup.
