gate.Crash is excited to invite you to For the Love of the (Mini) Game, a two-week beginner-friendly game jam open to all.

## Theme

The theme is love and mini games. But feel free to get creative! Games will not be disqualified for not meeting the theme exactly, but a prize will be awarded to the game that best suits the theme.

## Rules

  • Third-party, credited assets are allowed. Feel free to use marketplace assets, but please list the specific assets you used.
  • No generative AI is allowed in your final product. This includes generative AI writing, voice synthesis, and image generation.
  • You can work solo or in a team of up to eight. We encourage keeping teams small, even if it means splitting the party.
  • Keep it family-friendly. Your game should be rated no higher than T for Teen.

## Prizes

Four prizes are up for grabs - and it’s possible to win multiple prizes. Each prize comes with a $50 Steam gift card (or the equivalent in cash).

The prizes are:

  • Best All-Around Game: Participants vote for their favorite game!
  • Most On Theme: Hosts will determine which game best fits the theme.
  • Most Replayable: Hosts will determine which game has the most replay value.
  • Most Creative: Hosts will determine which game had the most creative take.
