Escape to the Olympic Peninsula and make new friends on a peaceful forest hike along the Big Quilcene River. This beginner-friendly out-and-back winds through old-growth conifers and mossy understory, accompanied by the sound of the river. Lower Big Quilcene to Notch Pass Trail Junction, 5.4 mi, 669 ft

We will take the Edmonds ferry to Kingston. On the boat stretch our legs an take in views of the puget sound.

8:15am depart Park and Ride

10:00am coffee to go at Over the Moon Coffee (Kingston)

11:30pm trailhead

4:00pm return to trailhead

5pm Dinner at Finnriver Farm & Cidery

7pm Kingston ferry crossing

8pm return Park and Ride

If you plan on being a rider please bring $40 for your driver towards gas, ferry, park entrance fees etc. Also bring a plastic bag to place your boots in after the hike.

Please indicate if you are willing to drive and how many can you fit.

*Parking Fee or Northwest Forest Pass or America the Beautiful Needed.

Things to Pack:
Bring hiking boots, jacket, warm clothing with layers, warm hat, extra pair of socks, change of shoes, water, lunch/snacks, etc.

After the hike we will stop off at a local restaurant to support small business.

You will need to pay for your food and activities while on this trip.
