[Day Trip] Fresh oysters and waterfall @Hood Canal🦪🌊
Details
You’ll leave Seattle in the morning and settle into a beautiful 2–2.5 hour drive toward Hood Canal . Forests start to thicken, water flashes through the trees, and the pace of the day naturally slows.
By late morning, you arrive at Hamma Hamma Oyster Saloon . Fresh oysters are shucked right in front of you, cold drinks are in hand, and the salt air does its magic. You linger, laugh, and eat slowly—because this is the whole point.
After lunch, you step straight onto the nearby shoreline . Low-tide beach walks lead to oyster and clam spotting, smooth stones, and wide water views. No schedule. Just wandering and breathing it in.
Next, a quick 5–7 minute drive brings you to Hamma Hamma Falls . A short forest walk opens up to rushing water and cool air—the kind of place that resets your nervous system without asking permission.
The afternoon unfolds with a slow, scenic drive along U.S. Route 101 . Windows down, music low, pulling over whenever the view demands it.
You wrap the day in Union with a peaceful stop at the Dalby Water Wheel . Old wood, moving water, quiet history, and a perfect excuse to linger. Grab a late bite or picnic by the water, then head home.
You’ll return to Seattle in the evening salty, calm, and full in every sense of the word ✨
