Welcome to Gathering Around The Hot Shop Flame. This group is for anyone interested in the fundamentals of glassblowing, whether you are picking up a blowpipe for the first time or looking for a space to practice the basics alongside others. Our goal is to demystify the process and build a small, supportive community of people who enjoy the intensity and creativity of working with molten glass.
We meet regularly to share tips, troubleshoot common challenges, and help each other improve our technique in the hot shop. There is no pressure here to be an expert; we are all just learning to manage the heat and shape the material as we go.
