About The Lavender Effect
THE LAVENDER EFFECT® was founded by Andy Sacher in 2009 and is a nonprofit project of Community Partners Advancing the Future of LGBTQ Heritage and Culture! Our Oral History Project, Educational Presentations, and Participatory Tours reach a broad audience to teach the contributions of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Allied Pioneers. Celebrating LGBTQ Heritage and Culture helps to demystify our diverse community, as well as reduce shame, combat homophobia, and empower future generations.
