LGBTQ+ Free Film Series at St Bart’s Presents “Cruising”

Anthony Perrotto hosts a free gay film series, sponsored by the LGBTQ+ Community at St. Bart’s, featuring films with gay themes.

Following the film, we’ll have dinner at a moderately priced nearby restaurant.

Attendees are asked to bring cash to pay for dinner, as some restaurants do not provide individual checks for large groups. When that happens, it can be extremely difficult to settle the bill if some people are paying by card while others use cash. Depending on what you order, I suggest bringing $35 to $60 in cash for your meal.

Cruising (1980) features Al Pacino in one of his boldest roles, going undercover in New York’s underground leather scene to track a serial killer preying on gay men. Dark, hypnotic, and psychologically gripping, the film plunges viewers into a world rarely captured on screen. Shot on location in late 1970s Manhattan, it preserves a raw, vanished chapter of gay history. Controversial then and still provocative now, Cruising is a fascinating, conversation starting thriller, anchored by a fearless Pacino performance.
