Following the film, we’ll have dinner at a moderately priced restaurant within walking distance of Saint Barts.

Attendees are asked to bring cash to pay for dinner, as some restaurants do not provide individual checks for large groups. When that happens, it can be extremely difficult to settle the bill if some people are paying by card while others use cash. Depending upon what you order, I would estimate bringing $35-$60 in cash for your meal.

REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE (1955), starring the magnetic James Dean, is far more than a classic tale of teenage rebellion—it’s a deeply emotional story about loneliness, identity, and the desperate need to belong.
Dean plays Jim Stark, a sensitive and troubled young man who feels like an outsider everywhere he goes—at home, at school, and in society. As he navigates a new town, he forms an unexpected bond with two other misfits: the quietly yearning Plato (played by Sal Mineo) and the strong yet vulnerable Judy (Natalie Wood). Together, the three create a kind of chosen family—something many in the LGBT community will instantly recognize and connect with.
For LGBT seniors, Rebel Without a Cause can feel especially powerful—bringing back memories of a time when so much had to remain hidden, yet still finding a way to speak truth through subtext, performance, and raw emotion.
