Located on the ancestral land of the Lenape, Carnarsie, and Matinecock Peoples, Socrates Sculpture Park is a non-profit organization operating in partnership with the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation.
As an internationally renowned platform for public art and a New York City public park, we see our role as stewards of this land, emphasizing a commitment to social and environmental resilience.
Located in Queens, we will meet downstairs from the N/W train line Broadway station at 10:30 a.m. and walk 8 blocks to the park entrance. Admission is free.
From there, we will walk to the edge of the East River where we will have splendid views of Manhattan. After admiring the sculptures for which this park is named, we will have lunch at a nearby restaurant.
