Brighton up your day!! An excursion to Brighton Beach.

Come join us for a stroll along the famed Coney Island boardwalk to Brighton Beach. You will enjoy the view and the breeze and--of course--member comaraderie. We will start off at Nathan's across the street from the Stillwell Avenue subway station (the D, F, N and Q trains all end up there and as it is the end of the line, there will be no difficulty in your sleeping past the stop). Nathan's is famous for its hotdogs, but your leader will be setting luncheon sights a bit higher. The trek from Coney Island to our Brighton Beach destination will be about two miles, and is largely flat (unless any participant wishes to walk parallel to us on the beach and allow the shifting sand to get into their shoes, and risk twisting an ankle). Lunch will be at a Russian restaurant located on the boardwalk. Hope you can join us!
