New Mills to Hayfield via Sett valley trail

Time for a 6 mile stroll along Sett Valley Trail from New Mills to Hayfield and back.
The route is mostly flat and approximately 3 miles from the start (New Mills Heritage Centre/Bus Station) to Hayfield Bus Station/main car park. Lunch in Hayfield (please bring your own flask and butties) then returning along the same route to New Mills Torrs finishing back at the bus station/meeting point.
There are slopes in New Mills which make this walk inaccessible for wheelchairs or restricted mobility but dogs are welcome.
There is parking in Torrs Car Park (£2.50 up to 4 hours £3.20 for the day) or nearby residential streets.
New Mills Central Train Station is almost next door to the bus station meeting point. New Mills Newtown Train Station is approximately 10 minutes walk from the meeting point.
