What we’re about
Keshet Austin is a social group for LGBTQI+ Jews, their spouses, partners, significant others, families, allies, and friends. Keshet organizes programs to integrate Jewish life, learning, and spirituality into our unique community.
Members must be Jewish, in the process of converting, or are the significant other of a Jewish Member.
"Keshet" means "rainbow" in Hebrew, and as a reflection, Keshet members are all ages and come from a variety of backgrounds and Jewish affiliations. We welcome diversity and inclusion. We are Reform, Conservative, Reconstructionist, Orthodox, secular, and liberal Jews. And we come from all types of backgrounds.
Keshet Austin hosts a variety of events such as: Shabbat dinners, onegs or pronegs at local synagogues, Jewish holiday parties, cultural, spiritual and educational events, Tikkun Olam opportunities, and social events that are just plain fun.
