Gays Can Read in Aug: PALAVER
Details
Book club for LGBT+ English-speaking transplants in Barcelona.
In Aug. we’re reading: PALAVER, by Bryan Washington 📖
In his third novel, Washington explores family estrangement, queer identity, and imperfect communication. Sound familiar, homos? A mother and son awkwardly reunite in Tokyo after 12-years! The story is told non-linearly, so it might be a Chris Nolan movie someday. Pick up a copy at your favorite local Queer and/or English-language bookstore!
We’ll meet 22 Aug at 11:00am, at VIVARI Coffee & Bakery (Consell de Cent 280) in L’Eixample to discuss the book, then share in our experiences as friends of Dorothy in a new land. 💅
Everyone in the rainbow alphabet is welcome!
